On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to the 44th Annual Chest Convention of the Philippine College of Chest Physicians. This highly anticipated event, titled “Expectations vs. Realities: Bridging the Gaps in Pulmonary Medicine,” will take place from March 4–7, 2025, at the Edsa Shangri-La, Manila.
This four-day scientific forum will be packed with cutting-edge lectures delivered by six esteemed international speakers, alongside renowned local experts, who will share their expertise on the latest developments in pulmonary medicine.
The highlights of the program include a postgraduate course on the first day covering two critical topics on Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation. This will be followed by equally engaging sessions featuring a wide range of pulmonary topics , thought provoking scientific debate and ethical discussions relevant to clinical practice and an evening of fellowship night to promote camaraderie and fun to connect with peers and colleagues.

Words from the Convention Chair:
The 44th Annual Chest Convention, a premier gathering of pulmonary specialists is set to take place from March 4 to 7, 2025, at the luxurious EDSA Shangri-La Hotel in Mandaluyong City.
This highly anticipated event will bring together experts, researchers, and clinicians from around the country to share insights, explore innovative treatments, and discuss the latest advancements in respiratory health.
A highlight of this year’s convention is the participation of six distinguished foreign speakers, each renowned for their contributions to pulmonary medicine.
The convention will feature state-of-the-art plenary sessions, convention symposia which will focus on the most current trends, breakthroughs, and research in pulmonary medicine. These sessions will provide attendees with a comprehensive look at the latest scientific advancements and practical applications in the field.
The convention will also feature two postgraduate courses designed to provide in-depth learning for medical and allied health professionals: Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) and Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
This year’s convention also introduces the Internal Medicine (I.M.) Tract, a focused program track tailored specifically for residents in internal medicine, who are considering a future in pulmonary subspecialty training.
